BOG & YLS August 9-10, 2024

August 9-10, 2024 – Erickson Alumni Center – Morgantown, WV

NOTE: In an effort to ease travel times, no lunch will be provided before the Board of Governors meeting, and the meeting time will be 1:00 p.m. Treats from local Morgantown establishments will be provided as an afternoon snack. 

The State Bar Board of Governors and Young Lawyer Section Board Meetings are scheduled to be held on August 9-10th, 2024 at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown, WV.

The Board of Governors meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9th in the Barnette Room (110-111). 

The Young Lawyer Section meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast available beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Barnette Room. 

A block of sleeping rooms is being held for the night of Friday, August 9th at the Marriott at Waterfront Place. Please confirm if you will need a sleeping room no later than Friday, July 19th. All rooms not reserved will be released by that date. The State Bar will not issue payment for the room if you do not use the sleeping room, or fail to cancel your accommodation. You will be responsible for the charge of the room. Please also notify Kathy Henning – 304-553-7225 (email – henningk@wvbar.org) and Mary Jane Pickens – 204-553-7237 (email – 304-553-7237) if an emergency should occur and you can not attend. 

Members can check into the Marriott beginning at 4pm on Friday, August 9th, and must be checked out by 12pm, on August 10th. 

Dinner will served at Oliverio's at 6:00pm. Please note in your RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions, and notify Kenadee Murphy at murphyk@wvbar.org, so we can accommodate you. 

Following dinner members of the Board of Governors and Young Lawyer Section are invited for an after dinner cocktail hour and axe throwing at the Marriott at Waterfront Place from 8-10pm. 

There will not be an option for remote or virtual attendance at this meeting location. Your attendance is needed for a quorum.
