Board of Governors and Young Lawyers EC Meetings






The State Bar's Board of Governors and Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee Meetings will be held on January 17-18, 2020, at the State Bar Center in Charleston. The Board of Governors Meeting will begin with lunch at 11:00 a.m. on January 17, and the YLS EC Meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on January 18. Dinner will be on Friday, January 17 beginning with a host bar from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. and a cash bar beginning at 7:30. The dinner will begin at 7:30. We will need to have the name of your guest in advance of the meeting. No reservations will be accepted at the door. A block of sleeping rooms has been held for the Board of Governors and Young Lawyer Section members for the night of January 17. The cut-off date for reservations is January 3, 2020. On January 3, all rooms not reserved will be released. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to get a reservation for you after January 3. If you have the State Bar make a reservation but need to cancel, you may do so by January 14. You must directly notify Renee the hotel at 304-345-4200 AND Anita Casey at IF YOU DO NOT USE THE ROOM AND FAIL TO CANCEL IT, YOU WILL BE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT PAYMENT. Event Registration Refunds and Cancellations For Paid Events: Registration fees may be refunded, less $20 for processing, for written cancellations emailed by 5 p.m. up to four business days before the seminar or by phone call made to Kathy Henning 304-553-7225 or Anita Casey 304-553-7228 up to four business days before the seminar. No refunds will be issued within the 72 hours before the event is held. Canceled registrations may not be transferred. You may send a substitute (e.g., someone from your firm) in lieu of canceling.
